The unveiling ceremony of Bishop Khachatour Kesaratsi Art Medal, honoring the founder of the first printing house in Iran and the Middle East, was held at the Khachatour Kesaratsi Museum in the Vank Cathedral of New Julfa, Isfahan, on the occasion of the Armenian Cultural Week.
This Art Medal, created by artist Masih Ahmadi, incorporates recreated lead typefaces used in the printing of the first Armenian books in Julfa in the 17th century and features the engraved letter “Է” (E)—a sacred Armenian character symbolizing God—in its design.
The medal was unveiled by Bishop Sipan Kechejian, Head of the Armenian Diocese of Isfahan and Southern Iran, along with Noel Minassian, Head of the Assembly of Representatives, Vachik Hayrapetyan, Head of the Diocesan Council, and artist Masih Ahmadi.
Copies of the medal were presented to the Armenian Diocese of Isfahan.
